چکیده

We have been developing a robot called Fetusoid35 that resemble a human fetus or preterm infant. We suppose that the robot could contribute to developmental science by shedding a new insight on the understanding the developmental process of fetuses and preterm infants. Based on the understanding of the mechanism, we can developmental care of preterm infant. This extended abstract briefly introduces the design policy of Fetusoid35 with its specifications and the current status.

Home-based Care Needs of Preterm Infants Discharged Early from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit: A Descriptive Qualitative Study

Background: Prematurity could result in the long admission of the neonate to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and development of some complications for both mother and newborn. The early discharge programs make the neonatal transference to home much easier and are beneficial to both parents and newborns. However, there are limited studies investigating the real needs of the preterm neonat...

Clinical Outcomes of Snuggle up Position Using Positioning Aids for Preterm (27-32 Weeks) Infants

ABSTRACTBackground: Preterm birth, if not actively managed with developmental supportive care, can significantly contribute to neurodevelopmental compromise. Use of appropriate positioning aids helps with mimicking the intrauterine environment and facilitating neuromuscular development. Herein, we aimed to determine the effectiveness of snuggle up positioning aids on clinical outcomes of preterm (

The effect of training of behavior observation based care to the mother on intraventricular hemorrhages and ventilation period of preterm infant

Background: Intraventricular hemorrhages and respiratory distress syndrome are two common diseases in preterm infants. Observation-based care, may reduce the rate of these complications through energy saving, diminishing apnea periods and cerebral blood flow changes. Aim: to evaluate the effect of behavior observation-based care training for mothers on intraventricular hemorrhages and ventilati...

تاثیر مراقبت تکاملی بر طول مدت قرار گیری نوزادان در زیر دستگاه تهویه مکانیکی

Abstract Background & Aims: Respiratory diseases are the common cause of hospitalization of preterm infants in neonatal intensive care unit. Although mechanical ventilation has saved many infants' lives, like other treatments; it has not been without harm. Developmental care intervention is a potential method for reducing the duration of mechanical ventilation in infants. The aim of this stu...
